Let us guide the way to an unforgettable experience
SNEAK PREVIEWEXPERIENCE THE THRILL OF TRAVELING THROUGH RARELY SEEN AREAS IN SOUTH AFRICA
The tours and weekend trips allow you access to remote areas in national parks and reserves that are not frequented by many visitors. The surrounding wilderness, the remoteness and the seclusion of traveling through rarely seen areas are the main thrills of our tours and weekend trips.
A knowledgeable and professional trail guide will lead the trail itself and will also assist with off-road aspects when necessary.
As a proud owner-run 4x4 tour operator, Bonsai Technologies is able to identify your needs for any particular 4x4 trip and to offer guided and self-guided trips to fit those needs. We are based in Pretoria and have a variety of options to choose from. Else we can assist you in planning a trip to remember. We strive to offer you that “once-in-a-lifetime experience”.
You will stay in chalets, safari tents or you will camp (own camping equipment to be supplied) in the specific South African National Park or nature reserve. On some of the eco trails that last for more than one day, you will have to be self-sufficient in terms of a tent, food, water etc.
Wild Camping | Camping | Safari Tents & Wilderness Cabins | Semi Luxury
What does wild camping entail? Wild camping is about getting away from the busy campsites and caravan parks and taking yourself out into the silent, empty and vast wilderness to spend time truly alone in nature. Sounds fantastic, doesn’t it?
Join these tours to visit areas in national parks and nature reserves seen by few. Camping areas are unfenced and you must make provision for your own tent, camping gear, sufficient supply of water, firewood and food. Off-road travelling, outdoor camping and game viewing are combined to provide you with that “once in a lifetime” experience. Normally no ablution facilities are available.
You also want to get away from the busy holiday places and take yourself out into the silent, empty and vast wilderness to spend time truly alone in nature. Sounds fantastic, doesn’t it?

It does not mean you have to miss out on the “experience of a lifetime” just because you do not have camping equipment or you do not want to camp. You will stay in safari tents or wilderness cabins on wooden or concrete decks with linen and towels provided. Ablution facilities are available. You visit three national parks in the North regions of South Africa, all having the big five and numerous other fauna and flora. Discover an ancient African Kingdom, Southern Africa’s first, established at Mapungubwe Hill between 1200 and 1290 AD. This is the place where archaeologists excavated the famous golden rhino.
Visit the Blyde River Canyon which is the third largest canyon in the world, after the Grand Canyon in the United States and the Fish River Canyon in Namibia. It is the largest “green canyon” due to its lush subtropical foliage, with the deepest precipitous cliffs of any canyon on the planet.
The scheduled tours and weekend trips can be viewed & booked on the calendar.
